PROVERBS
·         A short saying containing words of advice, wisdom and warning.



A friend in need is a friend indeed
Someone who comes to your aid when you're in difficulty is a true friend
Silence gives consent
To give assent, as to the proposal of another; agree
Blood is thicker than water
the bonds of  family and common ancestry are stronger than those bonds between unrelated people
Two heads are better than one
It is always better to work with another
Union is strength
If people join together, they are more powerful than if they work by themselves.
First come, first served
The first people to arrive will be able to get the best choices.
Once bitten, twice shy
When something or someone has hurt you once, you tend to avoid that thing or person
Where there is smoke, there is fire
If something looks or sounds bad (like someone looks dangerous or someone is screaming), something is wrong
A rolling stone gathers no moss
People always moving, with no roots in one place, avoid responsibilities and cares
What’s done can’t be undone
Thing happens, never go back on what you have done.

Something that one person likes may be distasteful to someone else

to make a radical change for the better in one's way of living or doing.

It means that without time off from work, a person becomes both bored and boring.
Where there’s a will there’s a way
It is possible to do anything if you are very determined to do it
What is done cannot be undone
you can't change the past, what has already happened cannot be changed
When in Rome, do as the Romans do
when you are visiting a new place, you should try to do as the people do who are from the place.
